MySQL Workbench can back up your Everleap MySQL database to a .sql file on your own computer, and restore that file back into the database. This article covers both directions. You need MySQL Workbench installed locally and a connection to your Everleap MySQL database.
Everything Workbench asks for is on your database's page in the Control Panel.
The General Information panel gives you the Database Server to connect to, in the form my##.everleap.com, and the Database User. The password is masked, with an Edit link if you need to set a new one. The database name itself is the one shown in the list on the previous page.
my##.everleap.com
For the connection itself, see How to Connect to MySQL using MySQL Workbench.
Note: Dump Events is not allowed in our environment.
Once the export completes, the MySQL backup will be on your local computer in the path you selected.
Note: if you are restoring from a MySQL database with a different name to the Everleap MySQL database, you must open your .sql file with a text editor such as Notepad and change the MySQL database name to the MySQL database name you are using on Everleap. Otherwise you will receive a permissions error.
