Upgrade / downgrade license or cancel an Office 365 Plan

Overview

Office 365 licence changes and cancellations are handled by our Billing Department. Neither action is self-service in the Control Panel.

Upgrade or downgrade an existing Office 365 licence

Open a ticket with the Billing Department and include:

1. The Office 365 username whose licence is being changed.
2. The new plan you want that licence changed to.

If you are changing several users at once, list each username with its target plan so we can process them together.

Cancel an Office 365 plan

To cancel your Office 365 plan, open a ticket with the Billing Department.

Notes

• Licence changes and cancellations take effect on your billing cycle. Billing will confirm the effective date and any proration when they process your request.
• Cancelling an Office 365 plan removes access to the mailboxes and data associated with it. Export or back up anything you need to keep before you submit the cancellation request.
