How to enable PHP

Overview

You can enable PHP and select the version from the General tab of Site Settings. PHP is set to Disabled by default.

Steps

1. Log in to the Everleap Control Panel at cp.everleap.com.
2. From the top menu click Shared Sites.
3. On the Shared Cloud Sites Overview page, click Manage next to the applicable site.

4. On the Site Overview page, click the SETTINGS tab.
5. Click the General tab.
6. Locate the PHP dropdown and select the version you need. The options are listed as version numbers only:

Disabled  |  5.4  |  7.0  |  7.1  |  7.2  |  7.3  |  7.4  |  8.0  |  8.1  |  8.2  |  8.3

7. Click Update General Settings to save.

Verify It Worked

Create a file named phpinfo.php containing the code below, upload it to your site, and open it in a browser. Confirm the version shown matches what you selected, then delete the file — leaving it in place exposes server details.

Notes

• To turn PHP off again, set the dropdown to Disabled.
• PHP and ASP.NET can run on the same site simultaneously.
• Changing the PHP version triggers an application pool recycle.
• Older versions (5.4, 7.0–7.4) are provided for legacy applications and no longer receive security updates from the PHP project. Use the newest version your application supports.
